![]() I explored over net a lot but could not find any way to run these two features together. I was assuming that by having two separate Wi-Fi adapters we can have two active Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapters, but its not happening in this way. But as soon as I start mobile hotspot also then this virtual adapter is acquired by hotspot feature and miracast gets forced closed. What I am observing is that when Miracast receiver (Microsoft Connect App) is launched it activates one Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter and runs properly. If you cant connect the adapter directly to your homes wireless network. So now it has 2 Wi-Fi adapters and both adapters are capable to run Miracast or Wi-Fi AP individually, but not together. Note: Only the Microsoft 4K Wireless Display Adapter supports Miracast over Wi-Fi. I am trying to configure my windows10 laptop as 'Wi-Fi Access Point' (Hotspot) and 'Miracast Receiver' (Wireless Display) at same time.Īs both of these features runs on Wi-Fi Direct concept by creating a 'Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter', so I plugged-in one external Wi-Fi Adpater in my laptop which already has one in-built Wi-Fi adapter.
